How We Make Money

Easyship is currently referenced in our calculator for international and freight comparisons. An affiliate partnership application is pending approval. In the meantime, no commission is earned from clicks to Easyship.
Pirate Ship does not operate an affiliate program. It is included in our tool as a free, non-commissioned option because it genuinely serves low-volume domestic shippers.

Our Recommendations Are Independent
Our shipping cost calculator uses real, publicly available carrier and platform rate data. Recommendations are based solely on your shipping profile — volume, package size, and destination. Commission amounts do not influence which platform we recommend.
If Pirate Ship is the best fit for your profile, we recommend Pirate Ship — regardless of the fact that we earn zero commission from that recommendation.
Rate Transparency
All baseline rates displayed in our calculator are based on Shopify’s default carrier pricing as of February 2026, plus a +15% surcharge coefficient reflecting current fuel and peak-season fees charged by major carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL).
Easyship rates are estimated based on their published average savings of 25% vs. standard carrier rates for international shipments. Optimized rates for other platforms are sourced from their published pricing tiers.
Rates are indicative. Actual rates may vary depending on your account, volume discounts, and carrier agreements. We recommend verifying final rates directly with each platform before committing.
